Hi there Tarot Friends, Your Tarot Pull for October
This month’s Tarot pull is a mere 3 cards, focused on the Grand Trine in water. Pull the 3 cards and let the messages soak into you… Last spring, when Saturn and Neptune first entered Aries, it felt like someone lit a spark under a new dream. A fresh burst of energy, a big “yes” from the universe. But here we are in October, and Saturn has retrograded back into Pisces (with Neptune not far behind), tugging at us to revisit that dream. Not to scrap it—just to ask: does it still hold water? How can we finally bring this dream to life? Toward the end of the month, something beautiful forms in the skies: a grand water trine. Saturn in Pisces, Jupiter in Cancer, and Mars + Mercury passing through Scorpio. Trines are an easy flowing energy, and not long ago, Saturn and Jupiter were SQUARE — a tough push pull energy. But now we have connection and flow with a TRINE. So take advantage of it!
Conception Happens in the DarkHere’s the thing: conception happens in the dark. The water signs are fertile, gestational, waiting. And mute. So don’t expect the same fireworks we had in March in April of this year. I, for one, am totally okay with that. In March and April I was running around like my hair was on fire. For real! October is not about the harvest you can display. It’s about the unseen mycelium network that quietly glues us together. The unconscious currents that nourish our roots, even if we don’t see them moving. Let’s break down the trine by zodiac sign. Saturn and Neptune in Pisces
Here we have the rather spooky landscape of the Moon card. Appropriate for Halloween. The Moon card is associated with the zodiac sign of Pisces. Pisces whispers: What was the dream you glimpsed earlier this year? Maybe it felt big, maybe it felt fragile. Maybe it fell apart. Saturn says: now’s the time to test it, shape it, crystalize it. Make it real. I’m currently reading, The Mountain is You, a book that addresses how our subconscious patterns, repeated over and over again lead to a landscape of ruined and forgotten dreams. The Moon card, associated with Pisces, brings up the deep waters of the subconscious and the potential monsters that live there in the dark waters. It’s dark out there… And kinda cold. Are you brave enough to venture out? The Moon also is an indicator of the past, as well as cycles and seasons. Neptune entered Pisces in 2011. And Saturn entered Pisces in 2023. What have you encountered during these 2 seasons of your life? What has slipped through your fingers? Jupiter in Cancer
Jupiter sits in Cancer, retrograde, pulling us inward to ask: What does security actually feel like? Not the kind of security you chase outside yourself, but the kind that settles deep in your bones. The Chariot is one of those funny Tarot associations - corresponding to the sign of Cancer. My commentary on this is that I’ve met many a Cancer bad ass. The stereotype is that Cancer people are marshmallows. I assure you, they are not. Cancer is a cardinal sign and initiates security, whatever that means to the Cancer in question. So ask yourself, what does security feel like to you? There’s a victory vibe to the Chariot card, and there’s a victory vibe to Jupiter exalted in Cancer. So go after what you truly value. You’re likely to get it. Mercury and Mars in Scorpio
First Mercury passes through Scorpio pinging the Grand Water Trine and then Mars. Information, then action. I think of Scorpio like the cold, ocean currents that feed ecosystems off the West coast of the US and South America. The cold, Arctic waters bring nutrients to the surface at these locations, and oceanic life thrives. Scorpio is like that. Nutrients from the deep. Mercury brings up strange creatures from the depths — and long held secrets. And then Mars takes action. Mars is good at cleaning house in Scorpio, whether that’s your own toxic psychology, or toxic relationships (remember water connects). The Death card is all about throwing it all in the compost pile in order to nourish the earth and bring forth life in the spring. 2025 is a 9 year. The last in a cycle. Everything that has outlived it’s usefulness gets thrown onto the compost heap. Your Turn
What dream am I revisiting? - 3 of swords. I tried to move in the spring of this year. It didn’t work out. I put it on hold. Time to revisit the dream. What does security feel like? - 3 of cups. It feels like heartfelt connection with others. I like that 2 - 3’s showed up for this spread about trines (3). I’d like to think that this 3 of cups has the potential to heal any leftover pain from the 3 of swords. And that I’ve got people in my corner to help me with what I need. What hidden nourishment is rising to feed me? The High Priestess. Learning to trust the intuitive flow, one step at a time. 2025 has been a year where I truly can’t see any further than right in front of me. Learning to trust the intuitive guidance is key for me.
