Hi there Tarot Friends, How's the hurry up and wait of the Mercury and Mars retrograde been going for you? We are moving toward a full moon on December 15th, which means the energy is building. Mercury joined with the Sun last week in it's backwards journey, so hopefully something is bubbling up for you as far as your vision and future plans. Also on the 15th, Mercury turns direct AND Forecast Your 2025 - Secrets to Prediction takes place at 4 PM Central live on YouTube. I hope to see you there, but if not, sign up for the recording.
Inner Conflict, Change, and Tarot Just about any time there is change, there is some level of conflict. Somebody isn't happy. What happens when that somebody is ourselves or part of ourselves? Enter self sabotage... Or just kinda feeling icky off to the side. Ever felt that uneasy feeling? Like something is wrong but you can't put your finger on it? I see that as the 5 of swords. The opportunity with the 5 of swords is that you can change (5) your mind (swords). Easier said than done. Sometimes you think you changed your mind but all you did was push thoughts under the rug and tell them to shut up. Or shout affirmations so loud that really can't hear them for the moment. What can be helpful is knowing who you really are. Or getting back in touch with who you really are. This is where the King of Wands comes in. He is self assured because he knows himself. He is comfortable in his selfhood. He can take inspired action without second guessing himself. I feel like this Mars retrograde might be about checking in with ourselves and rediscovering who we really are (King of Wands) And then overcoming the inertia of just sitting around with familiar old feelings that keep us comfortably numb (4 of cups) or that are just plain easier cuz they are familiar We do that by changing our mind (5 of swords) 3 Card Spread about your own inner changeThe last part of this story is about you uncovering your own inner conflict(s) and being directed by your inner King of Wands. I pulled this 3 card spread for myself and this is what I got. Note, any spread is just a snapshot of the moment and is subject to change. This Mars retrograde is a long one, so you might want to pull again at different points in the cycle. I'm not going to go into those points here, but hit reply and ask if you want to know the Mars retrograde cycle points and dates. AnalysisI am really, the Knight of Pentacles. I think this points to my practical nature and wanting to have a next step or steps planned. The conflict or inertia is coming from the Knight of Wands. (Yes, I actually pulled this card). These Knights are looking right at each other, which I find interesting. How I can change my mind is another wand, the Ace. I think these 2 Knights facing off here point to the creative conflict I experience quite often.
Right now the first bullet point is the most applicable. The icky feeling comes in because I feel like I "should" have a plan and know what the next step or two is. How I can change my mind using the Ace of wands is to get the creative juices flowing. Feeling inspired and energetic is called for. I can do this by listening to music, jumping around, going for a walk, free writing, sketching, or just playing around. The Ace could also be pointing to the fact that I am at the very beginning of the Mars retrograde, or the very beginning of a creative project. Both of these things are true. I'll be interested to see how this Mars retrograde shapes up for me and for you too! Getting to know youI'm 56 years old and when I was in high school, cell phones didn't exist. Yes, there were personal computers, but very few people had them and than ran on DOS. No windows. I consider myself pretty tech savvy and literate. I love that I can easily communicate with so many people worldwide with just the push of a button. I'm curious about what platforms and apps everyone uses. I'm in several what's app groups and use it to communicate with individual friends as well.
