🐦‍🔥Feeling stuck with your Tarot practice?

Hi there Tarot Friends,

In my 30s, I hid my Tarot cards in a drawer.

Not out of doubt -

but because my life at the time didn’t leave space for them.

When I opened that drawer again years later, it felt like opening a window.

We don’t “master” Tarot—we move through it like weather.

Some years the cards speak daily; other years, they fall silent.

Either way, the relationship ebbs and flows like the seasons.

The question isn’t how far you’ve come, but which season you’re in now.

The Page - Spring

I was self-taught, armed with a Marseilles deck and Mary K. Greer’s books.

I memorized definitions, scribbled notes in margins, and practiced with my friend Magdalena.

I read about Tarot for hours—but when someone asked me for a reading, I’d find a way to wiggle out of it.

I didn’t feel ready, whatever ready meant.

Looking back, that was my season of curiosity without confidence.

That stage lasted a loooong time.

Death - Winter

I got married.

My husband wasn’t religious, but his spiritual healing practice didn’t leave space for mine.

Without a word, the cards went into a drawer.

Gods forbid that he should see me with them.

“You’ll loose your mind,” he used to warn me.🙄

That season was quiet.
A kind of spiritual hibernation.
But the roots of Tarot were still alive underneath the surface, waiting for light.

Knight of Swords - I’m baaack - another Spring

After the divorce, I picked up my cards again.

And this time, I didn’t ask permission.

I even created my own deck and released it under the Creative Commons,

partly because U.S. Games was trying to claim copyright over the Rider-Waite-Smith images.

That was my rebel Tarot self, giving the system a choice finger and saying, “No one owns Tarot!”

Around that time, I started reading at parties, teaching online, and letting Tarot back into the open air.

The Hermit - teacher and mentor - Fall

I am now in my 50’s and I’m in a new season.

Tarot isn’t just personal—it’s a calling.

In a world of uncertainty, I feel pulled to train as many readers as possible—whether they ever read for others or not.
Because the act of reading Tarot is an act of introspection and awakening.

The World - all seasons

Every time you engage with Tarot, the relationship deepens.

And when we read together, we become a force multiplier in the world, even in the most quiet of ways.

The transition to the new humanity involves each of us doing the inner work—

and Tarot is a perfect tool for that work.
