Hi there Tarot Friends, Maybe you imagine a Tarot reading as a dramatic card flip that seals your fate. But if you’ve worked with the cards, even a little, you already know better. Fate and free will are always dancing together in this game of life. Tarot serves as a compassAnd it does it through image and story.
The moment you read those titles, images and emotions rise up, right? That’s the power of story. Tarot helps us reclaim storytelling for ourselves and create our own narratives and thus, our world!Through the evocative imagery of Tarot we are prompted to ask:
Why Tarot Matters More Than EverWe are living in an age where truth and fiction have blended into 💥a hall of mirrors, 💥an echo chamber, 💥and a reality creation machine all in one. And let’s be honest.EVERYONE (that’s me and you too) is in a cult of some kindHere are some common cults and belief systems. ✝️cult of productivity - if you’re an American, you were born into this one! ✝️cult of politics - identifying with this party or that party ✝️cult of self improvement - I’ll get what I want after I become “fixed “ or “better” Unfortunately, as a good cult member, you are serving someone else’s agenda. And hey, if you realize that and are down with it, great. If not, read on. ❓Why not choose your own belief system with conscious awareness instead of serving someone else’s agenda? ❓Why not practice something that strengthens you inner guidance instead of numbing it? ❓Why not tell your own story instead of waiting for someone to recognize it and champion it for you? Why we need YOU as a Tarot readerWhy? 🫵Why you? Why now? Because the world is drowning in information but starving for meaning. We don’t need another scientific study, another quick fix, another scary warning. What we all need is someone to sit with us in conversation about what really matters to usAnd that someone may have a deck of Tarot cards. And that someone may shuffle those cards and tell us a story that helps us see ourselves, our environment, and the path ahead more clearly. Maybe you are both the reader and the seeker in this scenario…hey it all works. The era of the guru is overNobody really knows what’s around the next corner. The world needs YOU as a Tarot reader to help create the new world that is being birthed right now. We need YOU to look within and bring forth the gold. Who am I to read for others?I know you’re probably thinking, “Yeah, great idea, but who am I to read for others?” Maybe you’ve taken a quick, online course. Maybe you pull a few cards here and there. But reading for another person? For real???? Let me assure you, you CAN do it! As I like to say, there are NO Tarot Police. No one is going to swoop in and confiscate your deck because you didn’t use the “right” spread or forgot the “correct” meaning of the 7 of cups. If you truly want to read for others, you can. I hereby grant you permission! We need you to share your unique perspectives, NOW! The time is NOWI want you to really connect with what I am saying here. Our attention is being harvested. Our beliefs are being manipulated. Our inner voices are completely drowned out by the roar. Tarot is a tool that unplugs the machine. Instead of handing you someone else’s storyline, Tarot gives you symbols and images that invite your own meaning making. There is no “official narrative” of Tarot. If someone tells you there is, then they are actually the Tarot Police and should be immediately ignored. When you share Tarot with another sentient human being, you’re not just pulling cards. You are helping them remember that they are the author of their own life. Powerful stuff. This is why we need more Tarot readers, stat! Not perfect ones. Not all knowing ones. Just people willing to sit with another person or a group, and a deck of cards, and have a conversation.
