Plant the damn seed🌱

Hi there Tarot Friends,

The Sun just entered Aries, marking the astrological New Year.
All planets are direct.

It's go time!

So if you're feeling a bit stuck in planning mode, here's a Tarot spell to get you moving.

You’ve thought about this from every possible angle.
Pulled cards on it.
Journaled about it.
Maybe even asked a friend.

And you’re still… right where you started.

Yeah.
That’s because this isn’t a thinking problem.

Nothing grows while you’re holding the seed in your hand.

At some point, you have to put it in the dirt…
and trust something will happen.

Maybe it’s because I’m a plant person, but I really like using seeds in spells.
So here it goes…

Choose your Tarot card or cards

We need Aries energy. Ready - fire - aim.

My suggestions:

King of Wands or 3 of wands - visionary
​Knight of Wands - the gumption and energy to take the leap!
​Sun - the Sun is exalted in Aries and is life force, individual expression, and purpose

Or choose your own card.

Spell ingredients

• a red candle. If that bothers you, use white.
• incense: frankincense, tobacco, or one of your choosing
• several seeds that will sprout (sunflowers maybe? 3, 6, or 9)
• a small flower pot filled with soil for the seeds
• water for the seeds
• the card or cards you chose

Timing

On a Sunday (Sun’s day) or Tuesday (Mars day) between a new and full moon —
Coincidentally, that’s where we are right now!
Full Moon is April 1, 2026 btw, so you got time.

The Working

Light the candle and incense and place the Tarot card in front of it.

Say out loud, “I am willing to move before I feel ready.”

Pick up the seeds in your hands and speak over them:
​”Grow with me. Not perfectly. Not safely. Just forward.”

Plant the seeds in the pot.

Water the seeds.

Say, “I don’t wait for clarity. I create in motion.”

The Magic

The Magic will appear before your eyes as the seeds sprout and grow.

Don’t forget to water them!

And you can repeat any or all of the incantations as you do.

I performed a similar spell once with tepary beans and cast them around my back yard. Tepary beans are a desert bean, so I didn’t have to water them and Ioved watching them sprout and grow and even create seed pods I can use again.
