Tarot really isn't about the future

A lot of people come to Tarot because they want answers.

👉But maybe one of the deeper reasons,
and maybe this is you,
is you want life to feel a little less flat and a little more alive.

More texture.

More surprise.

More of those strange little “winks from the Universe.”

Think of it as a signal finder

Lord knows there’s too much noise out there.

Even if you limit yourself.

There are so many ideas and takes to filter through-

and decide how you feel about it,

and what if anything you want to do about it etc.

Too much!

However, a simple daily draw practice can help you find the signal of your inner knowing.

When you look at an image,

especially one that might have ambiguity -

as in a Tarot card,

your mind starts searching for a caption.

And in the process, it refers to
- your prior experience
- your current emotional state
- what’s been on your mind
- maybe a dream from the night before…

Ah haaa, those wispy dreams.

And the more you train your subconscious, your higher self, your guides (however you choose to frame this)

- that the daily draw is the time you are LISTENING,

the clearer that signal becomes.

How to maximize your daily draw

Here’s my advice around the daily draw.

  1. Pull 1 or 2 cards in the morning.
  2. It can be helpful to use a focus question such as: where is growth needed, how am I changing, who needs my help today?
  3. Jot down anything that comes to mind while looking over the cards. Prioritize memory, intuition and making it up over standard definitions or what you think the card means.
  4. In the evening, or the next day, come back and reflect on the pull.

This is the practice.

Over time your own symbolic language starts to constellate.

It’s easier to find the signal.

Synchronicities appear.

The Universe winks back.
