🤪Why you can't ignore Tarot anymore

Hi There Tarot Friends,

Well, I thought this week's newsletter would be short after last week's mega read on using AI to learn Tarot. If you didn't read it, you can watch the YouTube version.

Why you're attracted to Tarot and why you should pursue it

Find yourself coming back to Tarot again and again? Here’s why.

life has meaning - specifically your life

If you're anything like me, you probably don't watch the news because you know there's no point getting pulled into strife (fabricated or real) that you can't do anything about.

Your life probably bumps along, predictable. But deep down, you know there's more.

At this point in history, religion is a crumbling facade.

So what does it all mean, anyway?

Your desire to read isn't random. The symbolism and imagery call to you like a cool breeze on a hot summer's evening.

Tarot is similar to dreamwork. Both speak in symbols both Universal and personal.

What would it look like if you embraced the meaning lovingly woven into your own life?

guidance comes from the inside

Nobody is coming to save you.

No husband, no boyfriend, no government, no absolute truth, no monetary system, no job...

You already know that the answers live inside you.

Tarot? Just a tool. A compass for your intuition.

You are attracted to Tarot because you know the answers are inside and it's your job to excavate them.

the peace sign

Finger 1 and finger 2 raised together = the peace sign.

When you realize that life - your life - has meaning AND that guidance comes from inside, peace enters your life.

you're learning to trust your own authority

You know guidance is internal. You've dodged bad advice before (but let's be real - sometimes you step in poo).

But there's a bigger problem. You don't always trust it.

Maybe it goes against everything you were taught or have experienced.

Maybe it feels lonely.

Whatever it is, you recognize that Tarot is an excellent tool to verify the internal nudges.

A reading in your journal, a quick recording of your daily draw. It's proof that your not crazy. Proof that you can trust yourself and your internal compass.

the Tarot Salute

Fingers 1, 2, and 3 held up together are the Girl Scout salute.

Were any of you in Girl Scouts?

Meaning + inner guidance + self trust = your Tarot salute.

Hey, we're making up as we go along so why not?

thinking has it's limitations

Our opposable thumbs? They make our hands super creative and dexterous.

I used to call my son "monkey hands" because his hands can pull apart and put together anything.

Our minds are the same way.

But both the thumb and our minds can only take us so far.

Thinking yourself into a corner is the hallmark of our current age.

The news cycle is filled with various people engaging in useless "thumb wars" -- 1,2,3,4 I declare a thumb war!

You're attracted to Tarot because your world view isn't an endless sea of "thumbs up" and "thumb wars".

You know or want to know how to move beyond the monkey mind.

something is happening in the world you can't quite put your finger on

This brings us to the final finger, the adorable little pinky finger.

Just as the pinky finger is just working in the background most of the time, so is the nagging feeling that something is happening in the world.

We Tarot readers feel the invisible wave pulsing through the world right now.

The Judgement card is called Awakening in some decks.

A LOT of people think we are living in the end times.

Is this the Kali Yuga?

Whatever you believe, if you're attracted to Tarot, you probably feel it -- the shift in consciousness if you will.

And, you probably feel called to participate in the shift --to become the 100th monkey that tips the balance and thrusts the world into a new paradigm.

To that I would say, yes you are right!

There is a shift upon us and you and me and anyone else who has heard the call can step up and participate.

Just remember, the pinky finger is the weakest finger. So it might take a while till we get the hang of it.

hang loose

Three fingers down and the thumb and pinky finger out = hang loose

My dear Tarot Friends, if you've read this far, you probably have gotten the download that in these strange, strange times, we need to hang loose.

As the waves of Neptune in Aries begin to make shore, we have to take it easy and go with the flow. Some people associate the hang loose sign with compassion. We need a good dose of that for ourselves and others.

If you're interested in forming a Tarot community where we all can "hang loose" and support each other through Tarot, click here to take a 3 question survey about what you are looking for in a Tarot community.
